Cycerone aims to empower organisations with the cybersecurity skills they need to build resilient and secure digital infrastructures by offering specialised, free training. In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, cybersecurity is essential, not optional.

Supported by the European Union and in collaboration with leading universities and training partners, the project is designed to address the critical need for advanced cybersecurity skills across Europe.

Many organisations, particularly SMEs and public administrations, currently face significant challenges due to a shortage of cybersecurity skills. Cycerone aims to support these entities in protecting themselves from the growing cyber threat landscape.

Cycerone intends to address this issue by providing free, customised cybersecurity training programmes that are strategically designed to provide employees with the necessary knowledge and tools to develop and maintain secure digital infrastructures.

The project was officially launched on January 23rd, 2025, in Brussels, bringing together 16 project partners under the coordination of EIT Digital to collaborate on shaping its future.

Hosted at the EIT Digital offices, the event featured a strong academic presence, including Aalto University Executive Education, National Technical University of Athens, Riga Technical University , UBB Universitatea Babes Bolyai, KTH - Kungliga Tekniska högskolan, LiU Linköping University, ELTEEötvös Loránd University, Politecnico di Milano, Università degli Studi di Trento, and TAU Tampere University.

Additionally, key non-academic partners such as rise research institutes of Sweden ab (rise) and Talent Garden Italia srl participated, alongside EIT Digital in Belgium and Spain. Together, the consortium laid the foundation for a strategic roadmap, driving impactful developments in the project’s next phases.
