Full Professor
Tommaso Agasisti is Full Professor.
He teaches Public Management in the Master of Science in Management Engineering and Economics and Business Organization at the Bachelor in Production Engineering, Lecco Campus of PoliMi. Since 2024, he has been Associate Dean for Institutions and Public Administrations (IPA) at PoliMi GSOM - Graduate School of Management (where he served as Associate Dean for International Relations and Quality from 2020 to 2023).
Since 2023, he is the Rector’s Delegate for Learning Analytics. From 2019 to 2024, he was a member of the Board of Governors of Politecnico di Milano.
He is the author of over 140 publications in international academic journals, as well as numerous articles, book chapters, and books at national and international levels.

Research
His research focuses on the economics and management of public administrations, with a particular emphasis on the education sector (schools and universities), and can be summarized in the following areas:
- evaluation of efficiency and performance in public organizations, with particular reference to educational institutions;
- quantitative analysis of the determinants of school and student performance;
- application of new theories and methods of Learning Analytics to predictive policies and the evaluation of educational interventions;
- study of governance models in institutions and higher education systems;
- the role of digital learning in the innovation of educational processes;
- analysis of the adoption of accrual accounting in public organizations;
- performance and efficiency assessment of local governments.

Community service
Since 2024, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of AEFP (Association for Education Finance and Policy). He is co-editor of the journal Dirigere Scuole and serves on the Editorial Board of several international academic journals (Education Finance and Policy; International Journal of Educational Management; Tertiary Education and Management). He served as an Associate Editor of the journal Higher Education Quarterly.
Since 2024, he is a member of the Scientific Committee of SAFI - School of Advanced Education in Education at the Ministry of Education and Merit. From 2021 to 2022, he chaired the Technical-Scientific Committee for the National Digital School Plan at the Ministry of Education and Merit and participated in the European Commission’s Expert Group on Education Quality. From 2014 to 2023, he was a member of the Provincial Evaluation Committee of the school system in the Autonomous Province of Trento. From 2010 to 2020, he served on the Evaluation Units of several Italian universities, both public and private.
