Research fellow
Tesfalem Mengestu is a research fellow in the Manufacturing Group at the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering at Politecnico di Milano.
He has got his bachelor's science degree in Mechanical engineering with a great distniction at Debre Tabor university, Debre Tabor, Ethiopia.
Following his acadamic excelence as a student, after graduation he was wroking as an assitant lecturer at the same universtiy.
He has aslo his Masters Science in Global production Engineering and Management at warsaw university of technology in Warsaw, Poland.
Tesfalem was also working in a comapny called 'Stryker medication' as an inern and following that as Purchasing support and where he has got his Lean six-sigma yellow belt training.
His research interst is Desinging of Mechanical components, Mechanics of Materials, vibrational analysis, Material charactersization, Product development, Production operations, and Digital manufacturing.
He is currently working in MetaBrake project: virtualizing an assemby line as CAD desinger, and in assessing the digital maturity of SMEs using 6P methodology as roles and skills provider with thier training materials.
