Researcher
Urban and Environmental Planner with a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Development from the Politecnico di Torino, currently serving as Assistant Professor at the Politecnico di Milano, Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering (DIG). He holds a B.Sc. in Urban and Spatial Planning and Management from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and an M.Sc. in Planning and Policies for the City, Environment and Landscape from the University of Venice – IUAV, in collaboration with the Technical University of Lisbon.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with institutions such as the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA), and Wageningen Environmental Research (WENR). His research focuses on urban and environmental planning, policy, and governance, with particular attention to urban food systems and urban (agro)forestry. He is skilled in both qualitative and quantitative research methods and has extensive experience in managing research projects at local, national, and European levels.

Research
His research examines the intersections between urban and environmental planning, policy, and governance, with a particular focus on the sustainability, resilience, and equity of urban systems. He investigates how cities design and implement strategies for urban agriculture, food waste reduction to address urban poverty, and urban (agro)forestry, analyzing governance arrangements, policy innovations, and inclusive practices fostering sustainable urbanization.
