Franco Chiriacò is a PhD candidate in the Supply Chain Management research group at Politecnico di Milano.
He obtained his Master of Science degree in management engineering at Politecnico di Milano focusing on Supply Chain Management.
His research activity involves him in two main projects that deal with data-driven technologies at national and European level.
Moreover, he is teaching assistant in the course Laboratorio di Analisi e Modellizzazione dei Processi (LAMP)azione dei Processi (LAMP)
Research
Research interests: His research areas are Supply Chain Management and Agrifood, mainly focusing on the sustainability topic and its performances. His Ph.D. project investigates the acceptance of data-driven technologies, such as blockchain and Internet of Things (IoT), for sustainability considering a multi-stakeholder perspective especially in the agrifood sector.
Research projects: The core part of his PhD concerns the analysis of costs, benefits and acceptance of intelligent solutions for agriculture within "Agritech", the National Research Centre for Agricultural Technologies included in the Italian PNRR. Moreover, he is involved as a researcher also for Smart Manufacturing, Innovation, Learning-labs, and Entrepreneurship (SMILE), an HEI initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology.
