Palasciano Claudio

Claudio Palasciano is currently research coordinator at Politecnico di Milano, Department of Economics, Management and Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Group.

His research and innovation area is energy and resource efficient production systems, sustainabile manufacturing and ICT for manufacturing.

He is currently involved in the EU funded projects AI REGIO (Regions and DIHs alliance for AI-driven digital transformation of European Manufacturing SMEs), MIDIH (Manufacturing Industry Digital Innovation Hubs), FASTEN (Flexible and Autonomous Manufacturing Systems for Custom-Designed Products) and Boost 4.0 (Big Data for Industry 4.0).

He has contributed in terms of project management and research to several European (FP6 and FP7) and Italian funded projects, such as:

  • BEinCPPS (Business Experiments in Cyber-Physical Production Systems);
  • Psymbiosys (Product-Service sYMBIOtic SYStems);
  • PLANTCockpit project (Production Logistics and Sustainability Cockpit);
  • EMC2-Factory project (The Eco-Factory: cleaner and resource-efficient production in manufacturing),
  • Smart Manufacturing 2020 and Sustainable Manufacturing (belonging to the Italian Fabbrica Intelligente research Cluster).
