Carlos is a research fellow at Politecnico di Milano and affiliated scientist at EIEE, working on deep learning for climate change mitigation in the EUNICE ERC project.

Previously, he worked as a postdoc at MSLab and as a research engineer at Seddi, where he completed his industrial PhD.

His work contributed to award-winning products like Textura.ai. He also served as an associate lecturer and researched at Universidad Carlos III.

Carlos holds a PhD from URJC, an MSc from Uni of Edinburgh, and two BScs from UC3M.

He received the 2024 BBVA/SCIE Young Researcher Award, the CEIG 2024 best PhD thesis award, and the 2023 UC3M Alumni Award.
