ParTTEc - Partenariati Territoriali per la Transizione Ecologica in Tunisia
ParTTEc aims to establish multi-stakeholder territorial partnerships in the governorates of Tunis, Sfax, and Gabes to support and facilitate the implementation of the ecological transition. The project promotes dialogue and cooperation among public institutions, universities, research centers, and businesses, with the goal of developing solutions and operational models for the sustainable management of resources and local value chains.
Activities include the analysis of territorial needs and key sustainability challenges, the co-design of innovative practices and technologies, multidisciplinary training programs, and the pilot testing of eco-innovation initiatives. The project also emphasizes applied research and technology transfer, promoting green entrepreneurship and the strengthening of local skills and competencies.
The Politecnico di Milano leads the project, coordinated by the Department of Energy and involving the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering, the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering. In particular, the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering focuses on analyzing the sustainability of the food-energy-water nexus in the target territories, with particular attention to the agri-food value chain, and contributes to the development of a university course on sustainable business management, its pilot implementation, and the organization of a summer school for early-career academic staff.
