OutProFeed – The First Italian RCT on Routine Outcome Monitoring (ROM) and Feedback-Informed Therapy (FIT)
The OutProFeed project is the first Italian Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) designed to evaluate the effectiveness of Routine Outcome Monitoring (ROM) and Feedback-Informed Therapy (FIT) in improving mental health outcomes and psychotherapy processes.
The research leverages the Mindy digital platform, which provides psychotherapists with tools for professional activity management, including data collection, analysis, and real-time feedback in compliance with GDPR regulations.
Despite strong scientific evidence supporting the clinical benefits of ROM, its implementation in Italy remains limited, hindered by technological infrastructure gaps and cultural resistance. The project aims to address these challenges by adapting and validating ROM tools and methods to the specific organizational and cultural context of Italian psychotherapeutic settings.
OutProFeed is funded under the PRIN 2022 program by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR).
The University of Bergamo leads the project in collaboration with the University of Palermo and Politecnico di Milano.
