Applications now open for Switch2Product 2025: the program that turns ideas and research projects into startups

Applications are now open for the new edition of Switch2Product – Innovation Challenge (S2P), the entrepreneurial empowerment program promoted by Politecnico di Milano.
S2P is designed for students, researchers, PhD candidates, faculty members, and alumni of the university who want to turn a technology, idea, or research project into a real startup. The program offers practical tools, tailored training, and access to a supportive innovation ecosystem that believes in their potential.
With targeted mentorship, financial grants, and a network of experts and investors, S2P provides a structured and stimulating environment to help participants grow their projects into scalable ventures.
How the program works
- Application
Interested teams can apply by completing the form at s2p.it (https://www.s2p.it). The first selection batch closes on September 1, 2025, but starting this year, applications will remain open year-round. - First Selection – 100 teams
The most promising projects will gain access to Innovation Fundamentals, an 8-week program focused on problem/solution fit, go-to-market strategy, and market analysis. - Second Selection – 50 finalist startups
A jury made up of program organizers and partners will award financial grants and in-kind services to support the concrete development of the selected startups. - Incubation – 3 months
The 50 selected startups will take part in an intensive program covering IP strategy, fundraising, and sector-specific workshops. - Matching Day
A dedicated day of structured meetings between startups, corporates, and investors, aimed at activating strategic partnerships, collaborations, and real growth opportunities.
