Nizar Abdelkafi has been conducting and publishing research in the fields of Supply Chain Management, Business Models and Business Model Innovation, Sustainability, Digitalization, as well as Standardization.

In recent years, his work has focused particularly on supply chain and business model sustainability. He is also particularly interested in supply chain resilience during long-term crises, such as pandemics as well as in supply chain innovation and automation.

He contributes occasionally to the Supply Chain Planning Observatory and serves as a board member of the European Academy of Standardization (EURAS).
