Giovanni Bonaccorsi is a junior assistant professor (RTD-A) at the Department of Management, Economics, and Industrial Engineering at Politecnico di Milano since 2022.


He is currently Lecturer in the "Strategy and Innovation in Digital Environments" course of the Bachelor’s Degree in Design Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University (China), and Teaching Assistant in the "Business Data Analytics" course of the Bachelor’s Degree in Management Engineering, as well as in the "Management and Finance of Infrastructure Investments" course of the Master’s Degree in Mobility Engineering.


Previously, he was a research fellow in the same department from 2020 to 2022.

Ricerca

His research examines territorial resilience, spatial inequality, and economic responses to crises, using high-frequency data and machine learning to inform policy and decision-making. He has published on pandemic-related interventions, local consumption dynamics, and regional economic resilience, and his ongoing work addresses predictive forecasting, public investment efficiency, and EU cohesion policy. His work bridges regional economics, data-driven policy analysis, and governance studies to support evidence-based interventions.
