My research focuses on how purpose-driven innovation emerges through collaboration between public, private, and third-sector actors. I study how hybrid governance models, open social innovation, and public-private partnerships can foster institutional and technological change to address complex sustainability challenges. By examining how institutional forces and organizational practices interact, I explore the conditions that make innovation inclusive, adaptive, and impactful, with particular attention to the role of governance, data, and evidence-based policy in driving societal transformation.
At the center of my work is the challenge of designing and sustaining institutional arrangements that make innovation genuinely purpose-driven and socially valuable. For example, as technologies such as AI and data science become central to sustainable development, my research investigates how to balance their transformative potential with responsibility and good governance. Ultimately, my work seeks to understand how cross-sector collaboration and institutional innovation can turn policy and practice into powerful engines of inclusive and long-term societal transformation.
